Burtneck Castle

The castle Burtneck ( Latvian Burtnieku pils ) is the ruin of a built in the mid-13th century Castle of the Livonian Order . The remains of the wall of the dismantled facility are located near the Livonian village of Burtnieki in northern Latvia .

In terms of the type of its rooms, Burtneck Castle resembled a commercial castle and was used to accommodate a smaller crew and as a store for the grain interest. As was characteristic of the 14th century, the entrance is protected by several towers, which thus formed a small tower castle.
