The castle Oberrotweil is an Outbound lowland castle in Flurberech "castle" at the mouth of Eschbachtals in the Krottenbachtal south of Oberrotweil , a modern suburb of vogtsburg in Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald in Baden-Württemberg .
The castle was probably built in the 12th century, as a lower nobility family "de Rotwile" can be traced from the 12th to the beginning of the 14th century.
Nothing has been preserved from the former castle on a castle plateau with a diameter of 70 by 40 meters.
