history

The origins of the castle are closely related to the family of the iron bags. In 1311 Weigand the iron bag sold the castle to the ducal forester Ludwig von Döbling; it was sold to Ott von Kierling in 1329. 1403 Hans received from Kogl, a Eyczinger, by Duke Albrecht IV. The house for Kogl . In 1408, the mayor of Vienna, Konrad Vorlauf, was detained at the castle by partisans Duke Leopold IV of Habsburg and only released against a substantial ransom. Duke Albrecht occupied the castle in 1415 because Hans had made an incursion into Moravia. Hans got the fief back, but had to demolish the castle on the orders of the duke, after which it was no longer built.

description
