Recep Öztürk (born June 20, 1977 in Tekirdağ ) is a Turkish football goalkeeper.

Career

Öztürk started in the youth of Tekirdağspor and was accepted into the professional squad as an amateur player in 1995. Öztürk played his first game for the then third division club in a league game against Küçükçekmecespor . After he was active as a substitute goalkeeper for Tekirdağspor for one and a half seasons with an amateur contract, he left this club in the summer of 1996 and moved to the first division club Gençlerbirliği Ankara . At this club he played for the reserve team for two seasons.

Without having played a game for the professionals from Genclerbirligi, he moved to the second division Konyaspor in the summer of 1998 . Here he worked as a substitute keeper for the first two seasons and only played one encounter during this time. For the second half of the 2000/01 season he was used in the starting line-up and held this role until the end of the season. The 2001/02 season he played almost continuously as a goalkeeper.

For the 2002/03 season he moved to the first division club MKE Ankaragücü . Here he took part in the pre-season camp, but was then sorted out by the coaching staff. The 2002/03 season he was loaned to the second division team Sakaryaspor . After a year at Sakaryaspor, he moved to this club in the summer of 2003, including a transfer fee. He finished the 2003/04 season with his team as champions of the TFF 1st Lig and rose to the Süper Lig . After a year in the Süper Lig, in which Öztürk made twelve first division appearances, Sakaryaspor rose again. The next season they managed to indirectly rise again to the Süper Lig via the play-off victory.

Öztürk left his club with this success and switched to his old club, the first division club Gençlerbirliği Ankara . Here he played the next three seasons, e.g. T. as a regular goalkeeper.

For the 2009/10 season he was hired at a previous club of his, the second division side Konyaspor . With this club, Öztürk achieved the play-off victory at the end of the season and thus the indirect promotion to the Süper Lig.

Since his contract with Konyaspor expired in the summer of 2010 and was not extended, he left this club and hired the second division Karşıyaka SK . In the spring he left this club for third division Giresunspor .

Immediately before the end of the summer transfer period, Öztürk moved to the second division side Adana Demirspor . In the summer of 2014 he left this club again.
