The Postal Dornberg is an Outbound hilltop castle on a hill about 125 meters northeast of the West output of Dornberg , a modern district of Ansbach in Middle Franconia in Bavaria .

The castle was built in the 12th century by the lords of Dornberg . The place was bought in 1232 by Count von Oettingen .

In 1525 the castle was destroyed in the course of the peasant war and the remains were used as a quarry to build new houses.

From the former castle complex only the deep ditch and wall remains are preserved.
