Franz Xaver Udalricus Aloysius Brockhoff (born March 17, 1785 in Essen , † June 24, 1846 in Bonn ) was a German businessman and politician .

Franz Xaver Udalricus Aloysius Brockhoff was the son of the Essen merchant Philipp Jakob Brockhoff and his wife Isabelle Theodora Brockhoff born. Leimgardt. He married Aletta Katharina Dreibholz (* 1801 in Wesel; † March 12, 1857 in Duisburg). While Brockhoff was a Roman Catholic denomination, his wife was Protestant . The marriage resulted in their son Julius Franz Brockhoff , who continued his father's company and also became a member of the provincial parliament of the Rhine Province .

Brockhoff was the owner of a sugar factory in Wesel . After it burned down, he moved to Duisburg , where he founded the sugar factory in front of the Marientor in 1831 . The factory initially produced raw sugar and later beet sugar and existed until 1891.

In 1843 he was elected as a member of the third estate for the constituency of Duisburg, Mülheim an der Ruhr , Kettwig , Werden , Ruhrort , Dinslaken , Emmerich , Rees , Isselburg in the provincial parliament of the Rhine province. In 1845 he could no longer exercise the mandate and was listed as prevented.
