The castle wall of Clausdorf , a district of the municipality of Kittendorf in the Mecklenburg Lake District, is located directly on the road from Hungerstorf to Clausdorf . The Slavic ramparts in the form of a low castle lay on the Kittendorfer Peene and bordered directly on the northern bank of the Great Varchentiner Lake .

The hill fort once had a diameter of 70 to 80 m. The remains of the castle were half destroyed when the modern road was built, so that today only a semicircular wall is preserved. This is about six to seven meters high in the north. After the castle was built , it must be a strongly fortified local princely castle of the Tollensians or Zirzipans from the Yugoslav period of the 11th / 12th centuries. Century have acted.

One can make out a castle gate in the eastern area of the complex.

Possibly it was a border castle , as there were still several castles on the small river as far as Lake Kummerower . It is very similar to the completely preserved castle in New Kentzlin .

There is seating and a stone with an information board on site.
