The rampart of Waldsieversdorf , a municipality in the Märkisch-Oderland district in Brandenburg , is located southeast of the town on a wooded hill between the large and small Däbersee. It is the stables of a Slavic rampart .
The ground monument consists of two earth walls, which should repel an enemy coming from the west. The entire castle area is about 3.5 hectares . The Höhenburg is a classic castle of the Feldberg castles, consisting of a front and main castle. This type of castle only existed in the Old Slavic period from the 7th to the 9th century and was a fortified retreat for the people living nearby. In the 9th century, the great people's castle, like most of the other structures of that time, was abandoned. Excavations revealed ceramic shards, whetstones, animal bones and an iron sickle. The castle had enough space for up to 1000 people.
