The Burjassot CF is a Spanish football club from the Valencian town of Burjassot . The club, founded in 1913, played one season in the second-rate Segunda División .
history
In 1913 a group of friends decided to set up a football club so that they could play games in the summer. This club was then appropriately named Club Verano Burjassot , Summer Club Burjassot . The founding members were Alejandro Bonora, Luis Bonora, Vicente Bonora, Miguel Dutrús, La Rosa, Pepe Ballester, Pepe Serrano, Mayol, Paco Sebastiá, Adolfo García and Enrique Ferrer. They decided on the unusual color combination "yellow-violet" as the club colors, which should give the club something unique.
In the 1939/40 season, the club played for the first and so far only time in its history in the Segunda División . After the game had rested during the Spanish Civil War , the leagues were reorganized and initially the Segunda División was divided into several groups. In Group 4, Burjassot was only third and therefore had to go to the new Tercera Division . In addition, the club reached the final of the amateur championship against Real Avilés CF , but this was lost. Nevertheless, it is the greatest success in the club's history.
Today the club plays in the fifth class Preferente Valenciana.
