Burkhard Körner (lawyer)
Burkhard Körner (born December 6, 1964 in Munich ) is a German lawyer and has been President of the Bavarian State Office for the Protection of the Constitution since August 1, 2008 .
education
After graduation Burkhard grains studied at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich Law . From 1989 to 1993 he was a research assistant at the chair for criminology , juvenile criminal law and the penal system . In 1992 he received his doctorate in law.
Career
In 1993 he was appointed judge on probation at the Administrative Court in Munich . Two years later he moved to the Bavarian State Ministry of the Interior as a consultant for police and security law .
After several managerial positions at the Bavarian Police and in the Bavarian State Ministry of the Interior, he was most recently deputy to the State Police President. Since August 1st, 2008 he has been head of the Bavarian State Office for the Protection of the Constitution.
