Burkhard Leuschke

Burkhard Leuschke (born April 27, 1940 in Bad Schandau ) is a former German walker who started for the GDR .

In the 50 km walk he was fourth in the 1964 Olympic Games in Tokyo in 4:15:27 h. In 1968 he gave up at the Olympic Games in Mexico City , and in 1969 he was disqualified at the European Athletics Championships in Athens in 1969 .

In 1963 he became the GDR champion in the 35 km walk . He set his personal best in the 50 km walk of 4:05:25 h in 1969.

Leuschke started for SC Dynamo Berlin .
