Burning Nitrum is an Italian thrash metal band from Bari that was founded in 2010.
history
The band was founded in 2010 by singer David Cilloís. After the line-up had been completed by Friday, February 13, 2010, the EP Pyromania was released in April 2012 . In May 2013 the single Turned to Ashes (Nothing Stands Still) followed. After several line-up changes, the group consisted of Cillois, guitarist Francesco Vivarelli, bassist Angelo Fiore, guitarist Walter Lanotte and founding member Dario D'Ambrosio on drums. After the group signed a recording deal with Punishment 18 Records , the debut album Molotov was released in 2014 .
style
According to Matt "Wolverine" Johnson of metal-temple.com , Molotov features Thrash Metal, which is based on the traditional 1980s sound of the San Francisco Bay Area . The group mixes vocals in the style of Gama Bomb and the fast playing of the instruments, which evokes memories of Exodus and Metallica . Some melodic leads, for example, would be reminiscent of Master of Puppets . Matt Reifschneider from metal-observer.com found that Burning Nitrum on Molotov doesn't sound like a young thrash metal band, but rather as if they already had decades of experience, as they intersect modern structures with classic sounds. The appearance and the songwriting are wild and experienced at the same time. The group puts a strong focus on the riffs .
