The Busch SE (outer appearance as Busch Vacuum Solutions ) is a manufacturer of vacuum pumps , systems, blowers and compressors, headquartered in Maulburg ( Baden-Wuerttemberg ). The German production plant and the German sales company of the international group of companies are also located there. Further own production plants are located in Switzerland, the USA, Korea, Great Britain and the Czech Republic. The Busch Group is a family company whose management is entirely in the hands of the Busch family. 3,700 employees work for the group worldwide.

history

The company was founded in 1963 by Karl Busch and his wife Ayhan in Schopfheim (Baden-Württemberg). With the HUCKEPACK, Karl Busch developed the first vacuum pump that could be used to pack food under vacuum. With the follow-up product R5, a very compact rotary vane vacuum pump that can be built into packaging machines, he revolutionized food packaging. Today the company is the global market leader in vacuum packaging.

In 1968, Busch relocated its company headquarters to Maulburg, which was subsequently expanded. In 1971 Busch founded the first foreign company in Great Britain and was represented in China from 1978. In 1979 and 1980 production plants were built in the USA and Switzerland. Today Busch is represented with its own companies in 43 countries around the world.

Busch has held a stake in the listed Pfeiffer Vacuum Group since 2015 . In November 2018, the majority of the shares of the former competitor Pfeiffer Vacuum were taken over.

Products

Busch Vacuum Solutions offers vacuum and overpressure solutions for industry, from individual vacuum pumps, blowers and compressors to standard systems and individually designed vacuum systems.

R5 rotary vane vacuum pumps: The R5 rotary vane vacuum pump was introduced in 1965. In 2017, more than 3 million of these oil-lubricated rotary vane vacuum pumps were in use every day.

MINK claw vacuum pumps: With the MINK, Busch introduced claw vacuum technology into many areas of industry in the 1990s. Due to their dry and contact-free functional principle, MINK claw vacuum pumps are almost maintenance-free. The claw vacuum technology ensures high efficiency combined with low energy consumption. It is also used in MINK compressors to generate overpressure.

COBRA screw vacuum pumps: The COBRA screw vacuum pump was the first mechanical vacuum pump that reached fine vacuum level in the compression chamber without operating equipment and was therefore predestined for applications in the chemical, pharmaceutical, heat treatment or semiconductor industries.

PANDA / PUMA vacuum booster: PANDA / PUMA vacuum boosters increase the performance of vacuum pumps. In combination with a backing pump, they can be used in low and medium vacuum processes. They enable high final pressures and suction volumes with lower energy consumption than single pumps.

SECO rotary vane vacuum pumps and compressors: SECO vacuum pumps and compressors work on the rotary vane principle. You do not need any operating fluids in the compression chamber for operation.

TYR positive displacement blowers: TYR positive displacement blowers are combined generators of vacuum and positive pressure. The three-blade positive displacement blowers work in both the vacuum and the positive pressure version according to the proven Roots principle.
