The BRS bus Ruhr-Sieg GmbH , based in Meschede was a bus company. It connected the cities and communities in the Hellweg area , in the Sauer , Sieger and Wittgensteiner lands . It was created in 2002 as an offshoot of WB ( Westfalenbus GmbH) and merged again with WB in summer 2017. She was a participant in the VGWS and the VRL . From November 2008 the BRS operated under the brand name DB Bahn Westfalenbus.
history
From 1920 many places in Westphalia were served by post buses , and the Reichsbahn set up express services from 1927. In 1982 and 1983, post and rail bus services began to be combined, which led to the foundation of GBB (Bahnbus business units) Westphalia based in Münster . On October 1, 1989, GBB Westfalen was converted into a GmbH under commercial law and was thereby renamed WB Westfalen Bus GmbH. The WB's control room has been downsized since 2002, creating, among other things, Busverkehr Ruhr-Sieg GmbH.
