Ákos Buttykay
Ákos Buttykay [ ˈaːkoʃ ˈbucːkɒ.i ] (born July 27, 1871 in Halmi , then Hungary , now Romania , † October 26, 1935 in Debrecen ) was a Hungarian composer .
Buttykay was a student of Victor von Herzfeld , István Thomán and Bernhard Stavenhagen . From 1907 to 1923 he was a piano teacher at the Budapest Music Academy .
He composed an opera and five operettas , two symphonies and a symphonic poem , a Hungarian suite and a Hungarian rhapsody, the tone painting Tale of a Summer Night , a violin concerto , piano pieces and songs .
