Celine Géraud (born February 13, 1968 in Forbach ) is a former French judoka and later television presenter and sports journalist.

Career

Celine Géraud fought in the light middleweight division, the weight class up to 61 kilograms. In 1986 and 1987 she was French champion in this weight class.

Géraud won her first international medal at the 1986 European Championships in London. After losing to Belgian Ann De Brabandere in the semifinals , she won a bronze medal by beating Bulgarian Miglena Koewa . In October at the 1986 World Championships in Maastricht, she won the semifinals against New Zealander Donna Guy , in the final she was defeated by British Diane Bell . At the end of 1986 she won the student world championships, four years later she was third again in the student world championships.

After completing her studies, she started at France Télévisions in 1993 . In addition to reporting on judo, she also hosted programs on the Paris-Dakar rally and the Tour de France . In between, she was also seen outside of sports with the program L'Île de la tentation and outside of France Télévisions on Orange Sport , but returned to her regular channel and moderated a regularly broadcast sports magazine until 2018. In 2018 she switched to RMC Sport . Céline Géraud is the mother of three children.
