César Miranda (1921)

César Miranda (born November 21, 1884 in Salto ; † 1962 ) was a Uruguayan politician and writer.

Miranda was born the son of Julian Miranda and Rosa Chaves in the northwest Uruguayan city of Salto and attended university in Montevideo. Miranda, a doctor of law, wrote under the pseudonym Pablo de Grecia .

He belonged to the Partido Colorado and was a representative of the Salto Department of the Asamblea Nacional Constituyente elected on July 30, 1916 , the constituent assembly. In the 25th and 26th legislative period he held a mandate from February 15, 1914 to February 14, 1920 as a representative for Salto in the Cámara de Representantes . In the 27th legislative period he represented the Department of Montevideo until October 25, 1920 . In 1919 he worked as President of the Chamber of Deputies and was there successor to Domingo Arena , under which he had held the office of First Vice President in the previous two years. From February 10, 1943 to February 10, 1947 he was a member of the Cámara de Senadores .
