In chemistry and technology, a group of compounds in which benzene is only substituted in the form of alkyl radicals by two other carbon atoms is referred to as C 2 -benzenes .

These substances with the empirical formula C 8 H 10 and a molar mass of 106.17 g mol −1 include 4 compounds in 2 groups:
