Antigen-presenting glycoprotein CD1d is a surface protein .

properties

It is produced in cortical thymocytes and in some T-cell leukemias , among other things . CD1D is in the course of the adaptive immune response involved in the antigen presentation of lipid -, lipopeptide - and glycolipid - antigens compared to the T cell receptor of the NKT cells . In addition to lipids, it also binds to beta-2 microglobulin . CD1a is glycosylated and has disulfide bridges . It is also involved in cell adhesion .
