The Club Deportivo Colón was a club in the pioneering days of Mexican football that had its headquarters in Guadalajara . His football team played in the Liga Amateur de Jalisco , which existed from its creation in 1908 until the introduction of professional football in 1943.

The CD Colón was founded in 1908 by some young football enthusiasts in the southeast of Guadalajara, the capital of the state of Jalisco . It had its strongest phase in the years between 1916 and 1920, when he won once champion and twice runner-up of the Liga de Occidente (German: League of the West ), as the Liga Amateur de Jalisco was popularly known. The team fell apart around 1930 when their players joined other teams from the same region (Águila and Atlas ). In this way the CD Colón disappeared.
