CFNR-FM is a radio station from Terrace , British Columbia . In addition to its main frequency of 92.1 MHz FM, the station operates various radio converters throughout the northern area of British Columbia on several terrestrial frequencies, for example on 96.1, 97.1 and 98.1 MHz. The callsign CFNR stands for Canada's First Nation Network, FM stands for frequency modulation on VHF , and the station is operated by the Northern Native Broadcasting Society. Nationally recognized Indian tribes and reservations are called First Nations in Canada . The station's motto is 'Your Nation your Station' and is aimed at the indigenous people of British Columbia. The program consists primarily of classical rock music and sports broadcasts . The broadcast license was granted for the first time on July 20, 1992 by the Canadian authorities to the Northern Native Broadcasting Society.
