The Center-Hélio-Marin Montalivet (CHM-Montalivet) was one of the first large naturist areas (nudist) worldwide in 1950 . The plant is located on the Atlantic coast of Aquitaine in the Médoc in southwest France in the Gironde department in Montalivet-les-Bains . The well-known naturist holiday village Euronat is also nearby . Bordeaux is about 95 kilometers southeast.

Here the French Naturist Association and in 1953 the International Naturist Federation (INF / FNI) were founded.

The guests come from large parts of Europe with a focus on Germany, France and the Netherlands.

Sand and pine trees

CHM is located in the middle of the pine forest and extends over an area of ​​200 hectares with direct access via the dune to the Atlantic coast with an extensive sandy beach. There are more than 570 parking spaces, 260 rental mobile homes , 43 rental bungalows , 140 rental tents and 6 holiday apartments on the site. The site is divided into several named living and camping areas. The main paths are paved.

The facility is open from April to October. It has a central market, restaurants, medical facilities, a hammam and an outdoor swimming pool. In addition, there is a variety of leisure activities for different age groups during the main season.
