CKBW is an adult contemporary radio station based in Bridgewater , Nova Scotia , Canada . The station is operated by Acadia Broadcasting. In addition to the stations in Bridgwater, there are subsidiary stations in Liverpool (94.5FM) and Shelburne (93.1FM), Nova Scotia, which broadcast the main station's program. The program is also fed into the digital TV cable network and the Internet.

CKBW began broadcasting on December 24, 1947 as a local station. When Donald Sutherland graduated from Bridge Water High School in 1952 , he worked part-time at the station before moving to Toronto to study drama at university.

In 2001 the changeover to FM and the 98.1 MHz frequency took place. The format often changed over the years. During the 1990s, country music was mostly played until the official switch to today's adult contemporary format in 2001 .
