Energy 103.5 (CKHZ-FM) is a Hot Dance Airplay Contemporary Hit Radio radio station based in Halifax , Nova Scotia , Canada . The transmitter transmits with a power of 100,000 watts and supplies the entire Halifax region. The program is also fed into the internet and digital cable network as a live stream. The transmitter is operated by HFX Broadcasting , a subsidiary of Evanov Communications . The station competes with 101.3 The Bounce and C100.
history
CKHZ took over the frequency from CKO, which broadcast on it between 1985 and 1989. In 2003 the Canadian Radio and Television Commission approved the broadcast. The official start of broadcasting was August 14, 2006.
