The finals of the seventh CONCACAF U-20 women's championship took place in the Cayman Islands from January 9-19 , 2014 . Eight teams competed against each other first in a group stage in two groups and then in the knockout system . All games were played at the Truman Bodden Sports Complex in George Town , the capital of the Cayman Islands. The tournament also served as qualification for the 2014 U-20 World Cup in Canada, for which the three best-placed teams qualified. Canada is automatically qualified to host the 2014 U-20 World Cup and therefore did not take part in the 2014 CONCACAF U-20 Championship. The USA team won for the third time in a row and for the fourth time .
The Cayman Islands were automatically qualified as host, and the teams from the United States and Mexico did not have to qualify separately. The other 22 registered national teams, representatives from Central America and the Caribbean separately, played in mini-tournaments to qualify for the CONCACAF U-20 Championship 2014. Honduras, Costa Rica and Guatemala from Central America, as well as Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago from the Caribbean, qualified . For Honduras, the participation in the 2014 tournament, as well as for the host, was a first for this age group.

At the final round, the eight teams formed two groups of four teams each. In the group stage, each team within the group played once against each other. There were three points for a win and one point for a draw. After the preliminary round matches, the group winners and runners-up qualified for the semi-finals, from which the tournament was continued in the knockout system .
