Qualification for | U-20 Women's World Cup |
The CONCACAF U-20 Women's Championship ( Engl. CONCACAF Under-20 Women's Championship ) is a football competition between the best teams in North and Central America and the Caribbean for football players under 20 years. The tournament usually takes place every two years and is also used to qualify for the U-20 Women's World Cup .
In 2002, a comparable tournament was played in Trinidad and Tobago, but it was only used to determine the North American participants in the 2002 U-19 Women's World Cup . A tournament winner was not determined. The two group winners qualified alongside host Canada for the 2002 World Cup. In addition to this tournament, the first edition of the CONCACAF U-20 women's championship in 2004 was held as an U-19 competition. The top three teams currently qualify for the U-20 World Cup.
