Qualification for Olympic football tournament

The U-23 Africa Cup ( English : African U-23 Championship ) is a football tournament between the best teams in Africa for male football players under the age of 23. The competition is organized by the African football association Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF). It was first played in 2011 and also served as a qualifying tournament for the 2012 Olympic football tournament in London, with the first three teams qualifying directly. The fourth-placed Senegal played in April 2012 in Coventry, England, a play-off against the fourth-placed Asian qualifier Oman, which he won 2-0 and qualified as the fourth African team for the Olympic tournament.
