The two-axle railcar CSM T22 of the Kleinbahn Celle-Soltau-Munster was built in 1935 by the Talbot wagon factory in Aachen . The railcar was used by various railway companies and is still available today (2019).
History and commitment
The vehicle was bought as the company's third railcar. As early as 1931, a railcar was created by converting a sidecar and in 1934 a Wismar rail bus was purchased.
The vehicle was primarily used on the Celle – Soltau, Beckedorf – Munster and Soltau – Neuenkirchen routes .
OHE DT 00502/0502
In 1944 the railcar was taken over by the Osthannoversche Eisenbahnen (OHE). The railcar was given the designation DT 00502 , which was changed to DT 0502 in the 1950s . In 1961 the vehicle made the farewell trip on the Soltau – Neuenkirchen railway line
MEC DT 0502
In 1968 the railcar was handed over to the Model Railway Club Essen in Essen and served there until 1980.
VEH DT 0502 / VT 6
In that year he got a new owner, the Association for the Preservation of the Hespertal Railway , who gave it the name DT 0502 . This was changed to VT 6 in 1983 .
VEF T 1 / T 22
The railcar was in use until 1995, then it was taken over by the Verdener Eisenbahnfreunde as T 1 and in 2006 it was renamed T 22 In 2007 it was given NVR number 95 80 0133 122-1 D-VEF.
AVL DT 0502
In 2011 it was taken over by the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Verkehrsfreunde Lüneburg and now has the NVR number 95 80 0133 122-1 D-TEL. Most recently, the railcar was in a desperate condition.
Technical features / equipment
Descriptions of the CSM T22 cannot be found. The railcar had an additional luggage compartment so that there are three sliding doors in the side wall.
The engine from Klöckner-Humboldt-Deutz was under the luggage compartment, the TAG gearbox about in the middle of the car. A long cardan shaft led from this to the drive axle on the other side of the vehicle. The car had a regular pulling and buffing device from the start . Originally the railcar had two large headlights, but in an undated conversion, the car was converted to the triple headlights with smaller headlights. Its large track clearers were noticeable .
