Cafe Del Sol is a German system catering concept, it is managed by Gastro & Soul GmbH, based in Hildesheim .

Business model

Cafe Del Sol is Germany's first freestander restaurant concept in the full-service segment. The all-day restaurant is open 365 days a year from Sunday to Thursday from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. and on Fridays and Saturdays until 1 a.m. The menu offers, for example, burgers, wraps, pizza, pasta and schnitzel, but also salads and snacks for those who are hungry. The range of drinks includes u. a. Soft drinks, beer, coffee and tea as well as cocktails , long drinks and wines.

A breakfast buffet on Saturday and the Sunday brunch are offered at a flat rate. Every branch has the same standardized offer; the prices may vary regionally.

The respective building of the café is a one-story standardized building with a lot of wood in the US-American colonial style , flat-gabled roof and covered and heated all-round verandas and terraces. The so-called freestands, which stand individually and are built on the "green meadow", offer 200 seats indoors and 180 outdoors. About fifty full and part-time employees work in a Cafe Del Sol.

In the meantime, 32 Cafe Del Sol restaurants have sprung up across Germany, one of which is in downtown Wiesbaden.

In January 2015 the first Cafe Del Sol in Austria opened in Klagenfurt am Wörthersee.

Administrative headquarters of Gastro & Soul GmbH

After two years of preparation, the first restaurant was founded in Hildesheim in 2001. In 2014 there were already 27 branches; further expansion is sought.
