Angelo Palmas

Angelo Palmas (born December 21, 1914 in Villanova Monteleone , Sassari Province , Italy , † June 9, 2003 ) was a Roman Catholic Archbishop and diplomat of the Holy See .

Life

Angelo Palmas received on 15 August 1938, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On June 17, 1964, Pope Paul VI appointed him . the Titular Archbishop of Vibiana and ordered him to apostolic delegate in Vietnam . Paul VI on June 28 of the same year donated his episcopal ordination ; Co-consecrators were the papal almsman , Archbishop of Curia Diego Venini , and the auxiliary bishop in Rome , Ettore Cunial .

On April 19, 1969, Angelo Palmas became Apostolic Nuncio in Colombia . Paul VI appointed him on September 2, 1975 as Apostolic Pro-Nuncio in Canada .

On March 10, 1990, Pope John Paul II accepted Angelo Palmas' resignation due to reasons of age.

Angelo Palmas attended the fourth session of the Second Vatican Council .
