Cairina is a genus of swimming ducks ( Anatini ).

Occasionally, these species, together with Aix also its own, however, very heterogeneous tribes of gloss ducks ( Cairinini assigned). The genus Cairina has only two representatives:

The domestic form of Cairina moschata is the wart duck (also flight duck). This makes it the only domesticated duck species alongside the mallard . The population of Cairina scutulata is endangered.
