Cake Boss: Buddy's Cake World (Original title: Cake Boss ) is an American reality - TV show that in the United States on the station since April 2009 TLC is broadcast. The show follows the action in Carlo's Bakery , an Italian-American bakery and pastry shop in Hoboken , New Jersey , which has belonged to the Valastro family for generations. The focus of the series is the current head of the bakery, Buddy Valastro, who is also the namesake of the series and how he usually bakes very elaborate and detailed cakes with the other employees.

The series now comprises 190 episodes, divided into eight seasons, each of which is also available on DVD. In the US, the first episode aired on April 1, 2009 on TLC. With the start of the channel TLC Germany in 2014, the German-language first broadcast of the program took place on April 11, 2014. From then on, the series ran in the evening, but from October 2014 the broadcast dates were postponed to the morning except on Wednesday.
