The Chinese short- toed lark ( Calandrella dukhunensis ) is a species of the lark family. Distribution area and way of life
The Chinese short-toed lark breeds in Tibet and central China in a region between 90 ° and 120 ° East. It is a distinctive high mountain bird and makes long spring and autumn migrations. The wintering areas are in the central area and in the south of India. The habitat in the breeding area is highland steppe. It occurs at altitudes of up to 5000 meters. The diet consists of insects and seeds. Like all larks, the Chinese short-toed lark is a ground breeder.
