The California State Route 7 (shortly CA 7 ) is a state highway in the US state of California , which runs north-south direction.
The highway begins on the Mexican border in Calexico and ends in El Centro on Interstate 8 and Imperial County Route S32. The State Highway opened in 1990. The section between California State Route 98 and I-8 was not completed until 2005.
