California Surf
California Surf is a former American professional football club that was part of the North American Soccer League from 1978 to 1981 .
The California club was based in Anaheim and owned by Lynn Saunders, who was also the club's manager. California Surf played its home games at Anaheim Stadium . The team was able to qualify for the play-offs for the US championship until 1981, but the team always failed in the first round. The number of viewers varied between 7,500 and 11,000 and was therefore not particularly high, so that in 1981 it was decided to withdraw from the NASL.
