Calilegua is a town and municipality in the Ledesma department in the southwest of the Jujuy province in Argentina. The city is located around 170 km from the provincial capital Jujuy, with which it is connected via the Ruta Nacional 34 road. Nearby is the Calilegua National Park, named after the town .
The place was created in 1756 by the establishment of a Jesuit mission station called "Reducción San Ignacio de los Tobas".
