The Ledesma Department is one of 16 administrative units in the Jujuy Province in northwestern Argentina . It is located in the east of the Jujuy Province and is bordered by the Valle Grande and Salta departments to the north, the Santa Bárbara department to the east, the San Pedro and Doctor Manuel Belgrano departments to the south, and the Tumbaya and Tilcara departments to the west . The capital of Ledesma is Libertador General San Martín .
