The department of San Pedro is located in the south of the Jujuy Province in northwest Argentina and is one of 16 administrative units in the province.
It is bordered by the Ledesma Department to the north, the Santa Bárbara Department to the east, the Salta and El Carmen Department to the south, and the Doctor Manuel Belgrano Department to the west .
The capital of the department is San Pedro de Jujuy .
