The Santa Catalina Department is located in the north of the Jujuy Province in northwest Argentina and is one of the province's 16 administrative units . It is bordered by Bolivia to the west and north , the Yavi department to the east and the Rinconada department to the south . The capital of the department is the eponymous Santa Catalina .
