Call for papers

The English expression call for papers (Eng. "Call to submit articles"; "Call for contributions") or call for participation (Eng. "Call for participation") is an invitation to submit articles or other contributions for publication.

A call for papers is mostly distributed before a scientific conference or an issue of a scientific journal . It contains information on the subject area of ​​the scientific work to be submitted , requirements for the format, the method of submission and the submission deadline. This call is published in the first circular (at least a few months before the conference), today mostly also via the website of the organizers, circular e-mail and specialist journals .
