biography

Raymond was born in 1976 in Île-de-France . As a child, she played in commercials. She later took on film roles and appeared in various television series for over ten years. After finishing her acting career, she studied media studies at the University of Paris-Dauphine and the London School of Economics . Today she lives in the USA and works in a media agency in Washington . Raymond is married to a World Bank employee and has four children.

Artistic creation

In the 1980s, Raymond took on children's roles in several French feature films. In 1984, at the age of eight, she also appeared on the side of Hildegard Knef and Ivan Desny in the German-French co-production Flügel und Fesseln .

As a teenager, Raymond switched to television. She had been under contract with the production company AB Groupe since 1989 , which she subsequently used in various television series. Initially, Raymond took on the role of an adolescent named Justine Girard in the French sitcom Salut les Musclés . Although this was a minor role - she played the niece of one of the main characters - Raymond soon gained great popularity. This led to the fact that from 1991 she received her own sitcom, Premiers Baisers (German: First Kisses), in which she played one of the leading roles. Again, her film role was called Justine Girard. The series dealt with a student's relationship problems. From 1995, another sitcom, Les Années Fac , was published, in which the topic was relocated to the context of student life at the university (“la fac”). To accompany the start of the new series, AB brought out a music production with Raymond in 1995, which was entitled Comme un amour d'été . In 1998 Raymond quit acting. After a 15-year hiatus, she appeared again in 2013 in the AB production Les Mystères de l'amour , in which she played a supporting role alongside Hélène Rollès, together with Manuela Lopez and other AB stars of the 1990s.

The role of Justine Girard was formative for Raymond's perception in the media. Even 15 years after the end of the last series, she is still referred to in France as "Justine de 'Premiers Baisers'" (German: "Justine from 'Premiers Baisers'").
