The Camp Point is a headland at the Fallières coast of Graham Lands on the Antarctic Peninsula . It marks the western end of a rugged ridge between Square Bay in the north and Calmette Bay in the south .
It was spotted for the first time during the Fifth French Antarctic Expedition (1908–1910) under the direction of Jean-Baptiste Charcot , but the actual nature of this geographical object remained hidden from him. It was measured by participants in the British Graham Land Expedition (1934–1937) under the direction of the Australian polar explorer John Rymill , who had the eponymous camp built near the formation.
