The Campo Argentino de Polo , also colloquially known as "La Catedral del Polo" (Polo Cathedral), is a stadium in Buenos Aires ( Argentina ) that is mainly used for polo , pato and hockey . In 1978 the World Hockey Championship was held there.

The stadium is located in the Palermo district on Avenida del Libertador and Avenida Dorrego. Opposite is the racecourse of Buenos Aires, the Hipódromo Argentino de Palermo . The stadium was opened in 1928 and consists of two places, the canchas , each of which can seat up to 15,000 spectators. Every year the Copa República Argentina polo tournament takes place there in March / April and the Open Argentine Polo Championship in November / December .

The stadium is also used for concerts and other public events.
