Campo Santo is a San Francisco-based development studio active in the video game industry. The team currently consists of twelve developers, many of whom already know each other from working together on The Walking Dead by Telltale Games . The graphics of the games developed by Campo Santo show parallels to the setting of the Telltale productions.

The studio was bought by Valve on April 22, 2018 .

Firewatch

Firewatch is a first-person view - computer game while the first video game from Campo Santo. The action of the game is set shortly after the fires in Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming in 1988 . The game has sold over 2.5 million copies.

In the Valley of Gods

In the Valley of Gods is Campo Santo's second computer game and, from a technical and graphical point of view, is in the direct tradition of Firewatch . At the end of 2019, Jake Rodkin (co-founder of Campo Santo) announced that development of the game was on hold for the time being.

Campo Santo Quarterly Review

Campo Santo is editor of the Campo Santo Quarterly Review , a weblog that publishes articles and opinions about the video game industry, but also about social and narrative (or literary) topics.
