Matiçan ( Albanian  also  Matiçani or Matiqan / -i , Serbian Матичане Matičane ) is a village in the municipality of Pristina in Kosovo . It is officially considered an urban suburb of the city of Pristina .

geography

Matiçan borders the urban area of ​​Pristina to the southeast. Neighboring towns are Zllatar in the east and Hajvalia in the south .

According to the 2011 census, Matiçan has 13,876 inhabitants. Of these, 13,782 (99.32%) are Albanians , 42 (0.30%) Turks and 21 (0.15%) Bosniaks .
