Bërnica e Epërme ( Albanian also Bërnicë e Epërme , Serbian Горња Брњица Gornja Brnjica ) is a village in northeastern Kosovo and belongs to the municipality of Pristina .
geography
Bërnica e Epërme is located in the Amselfeld , around four kilometers north of the capital Pristina . To the south is Sinidoll , an urban suburb of Pristina, and to the west is Bardhosh . Otherwise, Bërnica e Epërme is surrounded by wooded hills to the north, east and south-east; only in the northeast does a narrow valley lead to Siqeva .

According to the 2011 census, Bërnica e Epërme had 1595 inhabitants at that time. Of these, 1580 (99.06%) described themselves as Albanians and eleven (0.69%) as Serbs .

In 2011, of the 1595 inhabitants, 1582 professed Islam , eleven people professed the Orthodox Church and two people did not answer regarding their beliefs.
traffic
The M-25 and the Autostrada R 7 are nearby . The autostrada ends today at a roundabout near Truda . It is to be added as part of the Pan-European Transport Corridors to Podujeva via Besia in July . The media report that the M-25 will be expanded to four lanes for this. In the future, the motorway is to run to the Merdare border crossing on the Serbian-Kosovar border. In Serbia , the route to Niš is to be continued. Aleksandar Vučić said that this work will start in 2016, but nothing has been done to date.
