Coordinates: 33 ° 51 ′ S , 151 ° 9 ′ E Canada Bay City is a local government area (LGA) in the Australian state of New South Wales . Canada Bay is part of the metropolis of Sydney , the capital of New South Wales. The area is 19.9 km² and has about 88,000 inhabitants.
Canada Bay is about 5 to 12 km west of Sydney city center, south of Port Jackson . The area includes 28 neighborhoods: Abbotsford, Abbotsford Point, Birkenhead Point, Breakfast Point, Cabarita, Cabarita Junction, Canada Bay, Chiswick, Concord, Concord East, Concord North, Concord Repatriation Hospital, Concord South, Concord West, Drummoyne, Five Dock, Liberty Grove, Mortlake, Rhodes , Rodd Point, Russell Lea, Schnapper Island, Uhrs Point, Wareemba, Yaralla and parts of Homebush, Strathfield and North Strathfield. The council's administrative headquarters are in the Drummoyne district at the east end of the LGA.
