The Canadian Expeditionary Force Command ( CEFCOM ) or Commandement de la Force expéditionnaire du Canada ( COMFEC ) (dt. "Forces Command for operations abroad" ) was a part contending force-wide high command that all foreign missions other than that of the Canadian Special Operations Forces Command , the Canadian military led . In 2012, its tasks were largely transferred to the Canadian Joint Operations Command .

Similar to the Canada Command (Canada COM) was responsible for all military operations in North America , the CEFCOM was the highest command for foreign operations. It integrated the individual armed forces and led them in action. In addition to its military mandate and peace-building measures, the CEFCOM was also responsible for infrastructural and humanitarian aid abroad for the state of Canada. This was done regularly in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In addition to the operational planning and implementation of operations, the CEFCOM was responsible for the training, provision and equipment, the associations subordinate to it and their interoperability abroad, both technically and personally.
