The Canada Open 1965 in badminton took place in Edmonton in early April 1965 . Channarong Ratanaseangsuang defended his previous year's title in the men's singles. In the final, he clearly prevailed against Jim Poole . He had won the semifinals against Wayne Macdonnell with 15-12, 10-15 and 15-11, while Poole could defeat Takeshi Miyanaga from Japan with 15-5 and 15-11.
