Madrid, Bibl. Acad. Real de Historia, HS. Canso d'Antioca, p. 6v

The Canso d'Antiocha (not to be confused with the later French Chanson d'Antioche ) is an Occitan crusade epic that was probably written around 1130. The authorship is attributed to Grégoire Béchada , a knight from the retinue of the Golfier de Las Tors in the Limousin .

Only fragments of the Canso have survived. The only coherent and at the same time most extensive one consists of around 700 verses and is located in Madrid. The text tells of the battle for Antioch between Saracens and Christians in 1098 during the first crusade .
